To see the track on GPS click here. Track stats are as follows 2,386 metres climbing, 105km long.

The Quality Inn Colonial is our preferred supplier of accomodation - the Inn offers a discounted sports rate of 10% if you mention the marathon when booking. (only has 32 rooms) get in asap. http://www.bendigocolonial.com.au/

The 2010 105 km track will include 60% single trail with the rest being bush/dirt tracks, on areas accessed for the first time last year and that we have not been able to race previously. Keep the date free as this will be an event not to miss, the track is unique and parts of it are not able to be ridden outside of the event (20km private property) with the National park tracks taking you within 500 metres of the Calder Hwy into Bendigo (you climb to the top of Mt Herbert/Big Hill) and 3km from the main street, but you will still be on single trail! For those not wanting to ride 105km you will find the 50km challenging, with 80% of single trail, and beginning with a 5km non competitive section.

We award $1000 cash minimum (good chance to be more depends on entry numbers) to winner of Elite men and women .

Places are strictly limited to 500 riders.

Camping is available alongside the track (tent, camper or caravan okay)on the Sat night $5 per person, toilets and drinking water supplied.

WHO RIDES THE ROCKSHOX GOLDEN TRIANGLE EPIC?
2008 Riders included: Murray Spink, Sid Taberlay (Olymipic and Commonwealth Games representative), Craig Peacock (world Masters 24 HR Champion), and locals Jarrod Moroni, Josh Fleming (Olympic and Commonwealth Games representative) along with heaps of mountain bike fanatics and adventurers out to see what an MTB marathon is about.
Times are shorter than the six hour enduro series races (all the enduro racers should be there!), so if you are building up to race then this is the event. This is the start of “marathon season” see how your winter preparation has kept you in shape, prove that the training works and be ready for a summer of marathons.
