NEXT RIDE       Sunday August 1st  9am

We always encourage families to join our club rides and our August ride will cater for the Mums and younger brothers and sisters - everyone!

We are riding the Gold Diggings Trail. Starting from Gladstone St at the Bendigo Railway Station over flow car park – not the car park at the front of the station, it is the southern car park – don’t get lost!

Starting in town means we finish our ride at Spencer’s Café and enjoy food, drinks and a chat.

The Gold Diggings Trail is well sign posted and takes us up to Salomon Gully Flora Reserve before heading into the Bendigo Bushland Reserve off Belle Vue Road.

Mary will take one group along the fire trail towards Sandhurst Reservoir, and ride back into town along the Bendigo Creek Trail – very pretty, not difficult riding and certainly worth the effort.

Peter will head out the same way, but follow the single track to Sandhurst Reservoir and Fastways before heading back to town and meeting up at Spenser’s. Having a couple of groups will ensure we all enjoy our time on the track.

We will ride for about 2 ½ hrs so be prepared to carry sufficient food and water.

We remind you that, while we aim to complete the ride in a stated time, it is not always possible to do so due to the unpredictable nature of mountain biking and technical problems we may encounter.

-Looking into the future-

The Beechworth Chain Gang has suggested an interclub ride too, so look out for details

The Overnighter to Daylesford – some early information for November’s Ride

The plan is to travel to Daylesford on Saturday afternoon, set up at the Daylesford Caravan Park  www.daylesfordvictoriacaravanpark.com.au then ride for 2-3 hours in the afternoon on The Great Dividing Trail towards Creswick. http://gdt.org.au/

Saturday night dinner around the barbie at the caravan park, costs to be covered by our club.

On Sunday we will ride in the other direction on The Great Dividing Trail through some beautiful forest trails on the Lerderderg Track towards Blackwood.

As always we will cater for all skill levels with times and distances to suit our different abilities meaning it will be a real family weekend. Daylesford is a lovely spot to meander around even if you choose not to ride. The caravan park has cabins, sites for caravans and tents for the hardier bikers with very clean shower blocks and barbeque area.

If you can’t make it overnight, there is nothing to stop you joining us either Saturday or Sunday.

So mark your calendar. Sometime in September we will firm up numbers for the caravan park booking.
